“The aim of International Commission is soul-winning … The message that Jesus Christ left with the church was to win souls … we are here to train nationals for evangelism; we are not here to do evangelism for them.”
“Doing National-to-National projects is sometimes the only way we can bring the gospel message to people living in these closed territories … In order to complete this task — to preach the gospel to the whole world — we need the involvement of all of us [Christians].”
Three years ago … God was leading us towards a process of multiplication of coordinators, by empowering and motivating them. At the time, we had 22 IC coordinators in 22 countries. These 22 coordinators have multiplied themselves and added 74 new volunteer coordinators who now join them in taking the time to open doors and carry out the work of IC in the Americas. In 2017, more than 33,000 people were reached for Christ through the IC projects (in Latin America). You are part of what God is doing in the Americas as you support each project.
“With the help fo IC, there are a lot of things we’ve learned to boost the morale of the [church] members to out to do one-to-one evangelism with people … there are some missionaries here that do [some evangelism], but I can say that it’s not like what IC does. Because normally, they go to talk with the churches and also go to the hinterlands to do open-air crusades and other things. But what IC is doing is very effective … The members of the church living around where the souls are won — they are going to take care of them. “
“We can have 2,000 or 2,500 professions of faith as a result of one project … Most of the time, we have 5 or 6 projects per year … the local [church] members must be the disciplers of those new believers, so Operation Andrew helps us [in every stage] … God didn’t call us to make converts, but disciples … There is no other thing more gratifying than to guide somebody to the Lord’s Feet.”
“I am always humbled by the sincerity exhibited by men and women of God who heed the call to participate in our projects. The commitment, the sacrifice, and the diligence challenges me every time. Thumbs up also to those who are funding these projects. Let’s go Forward with the Gospel. Reaching even to the distant nations!”
